♥ Life's a Beach ♥

I know, I know.. I went to the beach yesterday - but I really needed to go again to work on my tan. My SL mummy will die laughing at that statement considering she knows the real me and has seen me and knows how ghostly pale the real me is. I'm not even kidding, I'm like almost translucent in places. 

Anyways... if you know me you'll know that real life has been crazy with my move. I've been deep in paperwork, packing and having meetings with various people to get my mortgage sorted out. If you don't have a mortgage, it's confusing as hell.. and not something to just walk into. They like to make it all as complicated as possible.. if you do go to do it, grab yourself an awesome mortgage adviser. I paid a guy to help us get the best deal etc.. he is pretty awesome actually and knows all his stuff and without him we would be so lost. As of today, my removal company is set to move our stuff on the 4th June. I have a tooth extraction on the 3rd June.. yeah.. ouch. Our contracts have not yet been exchanged so I don't really know where we are yet.. hopefully our conveyencer will receive our signed deed tomorrow and get the ball in motion. Without the contracts being transferred we're pretty clueless as to when we can move in and are just guessing.. we went ahead and pre-booked to be on the safe side. I'm so hoping we get the keys earlier than that so we can go in and paint a bit.. as there's one horrible bogey green room that I need to sort out before my eyes bleed. 

So.. here I am at the beach trying to forget all the real life grownup stuff and just run around being a toddler. It took me a while to find a nice beach.. especially one that would allow me to rez! I love people watching on Second Life. When I'm out scouting for locations to take pictures at I crawl past a lot of strange and wonderful people. Sometimes they talk to me other times they do not. Today I chuckled to myself as there was a man on the beach dressed head to toe in black leather and huge clunky boots. If that was real life he'd have been waaaaaaaaay too hot to wear that! He stood there staring at the sea in all his noob glory, wondering why no woman would talk to him. Okay, I made that up.. I don't know what he was thinking or anything.. but he did look kinda nooby. 

My lovely vintage swimsuit is from Babysteps and it's available at Le Petit Faire right now. There's a few different colours to choose from.. but naturally I picked pink. It's on the higher end of the price scale at 150L$ but I'm guessing that's because it's original mesh? It's very cute though and worth the lindens.. I particularly love the front panel texture work. Oh and it fits both baby and kid ToddleeDoo's!

I'm wearing a whole bunch of accessories from ToddleTeeZ today too. I have on a pink charm necklace, which is available at this current round of the Sidewalk Gacha. I have the matching pink charm anklet on too.. The bracelet I have on is from this current round of Hello Beautiful, which is going to be ending soon, so go grab them quick.. they're birthstone bracelets. I have on the April one, as that's when my birthday is in real life and the fact that the stones go with pretty much anything. Ooh I have on pink wormie earrings, they are super cute! They are little worms on a hook and it even comes with a cute little worm for your nose. I have on a silver hearts toe ring from ToddleTeeZ too. All of that awesomeness is from ToddleTeeZ, definitely a store you need to check out.

My knee tattoos are at Hello Beautiful right now, they're from the awesome Tic Tot Toe. So many different ones to get.. I have on the shark ones. They seemed appropriate for the beach!

♥ Chill ♥

I haven't managed to get a good nights sleep at all.. so what do I do in these instances? I blog! I need to learn to chill out a bit more and stop getting myself so stressed, so that's exactly what I did.. took myself off to a pretty sim to chill and get some relaxation time. I wasn't worrying about deadlines or anything, just taking my time. Think we all could do with chilling out from time to time.

Hello Beautiful opened it's doors for it's seventh round today. Lots of fantastic creators all in one space, what's not to love about that?! It's a really awesome theme too, so there's lots of diversity in what has been made and there's something for everyone.

Babysteps have made an awesome hair for this round of Hello Beautiful. It's called "Addyline" It comes with the beret attached and an awesome HUD for the hair (including changing root colour) and you can colour the beret from a few different options. I normally wear blonde hair, so for the majority of my pics I am wearing the blonde one. At the very bottom I have included a pic of one colour from each of the packs though.. they are pretty awesome. From top left to right: Brunettes, Black&White and Dips. From bottom left to right: Ombres, Pastels and Reds. You could even treat yourself to the fatpack if you can't decide which colour pack you like. The hair is easily resizable too with a simple click. No rezzing it on the ground and putting in your own resizer.. or messing around trying to find the HUD button.. just click your hair and you're good to go! I hope this is the first of many hairstyles from Babysteps.

My outfit today is from Heffalumps, it's called "Tilly" - so naturally I gravitated towards it because that's also my mummy's name. I think these little flats from Minuet go so perfectly with it. Usually I'm not the kind to dress as dark as this, but I'm trying to experiment with new styles and stepping out of my comfort zone a little more here and there.

I've got another cute bedroom set to show you all from Aphrodite & <HEART HOMES> today, this one is called "Prince Charming"
This time their new nursery set is at the Cosmopolitan event exclusively and discounted 20% OFF the regular price. Bonus! There's so many pieces to this awesome set too.. and can even be bought separately if you wanted just a particular piece from the set. I, personally, think it's frogging awesome. The animations in it are really cute too.. and this set even has a bathing area (which is just too precious!) Ooh, the frog I'm sat on even gives out props, including this mug, a froggie sandwich, an etch a sketch and more. The rocking chair has animations for you to sit with a parent too.. which are lovely. I'm wearing some PJs from Soken Kids. I've not blogged Soken Kids in a while, so had a look around and found these adorable whale pjs. There's lots of different styles too if whales don't float your boat.. hah, float your boat.. get it? I amuse myself sometimes!

Check out this super cute masks you can get from Itsy Bitsy, at this round of Hello Beautiful. I'm wearing my favorite one.. which makes me laugh. It says on it, "You kiss me in my sleep, I'll punch you in your face!" Truer words have never been spoken. ♥ Balancing Act ♥

Life in general is a balancing act.. throw a Second Life into that equation and it becomes even more difficult to balance everything. Most of the time I like to think I do a good job, but sometimes things can come crashing down.. hopefully the teacups on my head will stay put and not do that.

I'm wearing an adorable outfit from Buglets today. You can find this outfit at Woodlands right now.  This one is called "Fleur [Rose]" but you can also play for lilac and mint colours. I've had a lot of compliments wearing this and I have to say it is pretty cute! It's definitely a must play for outfit when you visit Woodlands.

The teacups I'm balancing on my head are from tiptoes, you can find them at Woodlands too! The one perched on top of my head is a rare and is super cute. There are other ones to collect too, including cupcakes on your head. Now I just need to make sure I don't lose my concentration and end up with broken china everywhere.

♥ Masked Sleeper ♥

I am so tired after these few days of Easter.. I've had my head in my English course and when I've not been doing that; I was packing up our belongings for when we move. Fortunately we have run out of masking tape for the moment, so packing has been put on hold until we get some more. I hope everyone had a good time whatever they were doing.. and hopefully it was a lot more relaxing!

Today I have an adorable original mesh crib from Bad Seed Boutique to show you, which is available at this final round of Woodlands. I'm showing off the pink version, as it was my favourite, but there are other colours to collect too: blue, lemon, mint and peach. There are 10 original poses in it too, which are so cute! I'm showing off just two of the ten poses.. but they are all lovely. It's such a pretty crib and I especially love the pillows. A lot of love and effort was put into this crib, I highly recommend it.

I'm showing off these epic animated masks from ToddleTeeZ too. They are available at this round of Hello Beautiful. Be sure to snap them up! See the last picture/gif to see how they move. They are all different and all have their own animation. I'm wearing the rare, which is my favourite one.. I seem to have a thing for rares being my fave. Anyways, they are super cute and unique.. you have to make sure at least one finds it's way into your inventory.

Lastly, these heart lights from Plethora I absolutely adore. They are called "Counting Hearts (Petals)" If you find they are too bright for you, simply edit them and turn down the glow like I did. You can even turn off the glow entirely if you choose to.

This outfit is from Just Melodic, which you can find at this final round of Woodlands. As far as I'm aware Just Melodic doesn't have an in world store or a marketplace store yet.. but can you see where I got my inspiration for the theme from now?
Isn't it just adorable? Just look how cute it is with the little beret! I particularly love the shoes with bows on the back of them and the neck scarf is very chic.. ooh la la.

So, yes, this outfit is absolutely darling and it's available now from ToddleTeeZ, at this round of Woodlands. There's so many bits and pieces to collect to make up this awesome outfit called "Marie" The shoes and animated fan are rares, but I can see why.. they are so fantastic! I'm in love! 

The animated fan is a particularly nice touch, however, there's also a static fan too.. if you'd rather that. There's even two different type of nail polishes that you can obtain, red and gold; but I opted to wear the gold one.. as I felt very classy and like I needed to be adorned with lots of gold. How cute is the hat too? I could go on and on about all the various pieces that make up this outfit.. but instead I'll show it off!

♥ All for one.. ♥

..and one for all! I'm sure you all know that little saying. 

It's all I keep saying at the moment.. because of this adorable and fun outfit from Zoobatos (which is available at this round of Woodlands [April 2015]) Collect individual pieces from their gatcha (pants, hats, swords, boots etc), in both baby and kid ToddleeDoo sizes, in a bid to complete your muskateer outfit! I love this look so much, I've actually had the outfit on for a couple of days straight, which is highly unusual for me. There are different colour pieces to collect, but they all go well together - so it doesn't matter what you have on. I personally opted for a black hat and boots, with grey pants. The best part of this outfit though, in my opinion, are the swords. I prefer the rapier, but there's also a pirate saber if that's more your thing. These swords come with a HUD which allows you to draw and sheath your weapon.. and not only that but on drawing your sword an adorable message sounds out in local chat, "One for All and All for Me! Gimme Your Cookies!" and then when you sheath it you get, "A Musketeer must use both hands to nom their cookies!" The first time I did it I wasn't expecting it and it cracked me up. I love it and so does anyone else who sees it. A cute touch! The swords even work too.. I tried to include a small gif at the end to show it in action, but it was hard to capture it all in it's glory.

I feel like carving my initial into a tree like Zorro or something when I'm wearing it and for some reason I sound like Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) when I talk..

♥ My Sweet Baby Owl ♥

How adorable is this bedroom set "My Sweet Baby Owl" from Aphrodite Shop? It's super cute! Best of all it works with us ToddleeDoo avatars. It's available now at Room69 event. So much cuteness in this set! It has so many poses too, for both parent and baby. It even has two different cribs to choose from (which both work for us!) The set also comes with a working ceiling light, lamp, baby changing station, mobile, framed picture, rug, bookcase, shelf, owl toy, lots of plushies in the crib and rocking chair. It's not terribly bad on prims either.. I made my count at  62 prims for the entire set. Well.. my count, my mummy's count and Aphrodite's CSR's count that is (I got him to come over to help count!). Yes, I know it's called land impact these days.. but I'm old school and can't get my head around using the new fangled terminology! You can probably reduce the prim count a lot if you don't use all the pieces included, but I think it looks super cute as a complete set.

I'm wearing a cute sleep mask from Purretes, which can be found at this round of Hello Beautiful. There are several different versions in a gatcha up for grabs! Perfect for getting that little bit of shut eye you need in your new bedroom set.

Absolutely loving this binky from Purretes, also found at this round of Hello Beautiful. You put it in and you basically mumble through your binky, it changes up some of your words. It made me laugh, but maybe I'm easily amused? These are also available in a gatcha, with lots of different slogans to collect. This one has on it "Diaper loading.. Please wait" 

I'm wearing a hair accessory also found at this round of Hello Beautiful, but it's by *BABY* who have made an adorable little "Moody Bunny Bow" - complete with an epic colour change HUD. You can change it into lots of different colours and individual parts of the bow can be coloured too. You can even change the emotions on the face of the bunny! Cute! Perfect for Easter time.

Did you know "pulchritudinous" means beautiful? I certainly didn't.. but I found out that it does and that made me want to use it as it's just an awesome word.

Quick post today.. Special thanks to Tay for being awesome and posing with me for this set of pictures. I had a blast. We were battling a fire breathing dragon! Well.. in our imagination we were. In reality we were fighting a giant plushy dragon.. which doesn't seem nearly as awesome.

♥ Desire ♥

It's been an exciting and scary few days! I'm sorry I've not posted, but real life has been rather demanding. In my last post I was talking about navigating the complicated world of mortgages in real life.. and sure enough that's taken off in it's own whirlwind. We put in an offer which was rejected twice and then third time it was accepted. We finally compromised on a price set by them.. which was slightly higher than our second offer, but not the full asking price. Anyway, they gladly accepted that, which is the main thing! So.. that means I've been lost in a sea of paperwork and sorting out finances. It's been pretty crazy and I've not exactly had my head in the right place for Second Life. I took a break from it over the weekend and yesterday actually, didn't even log on once.. which is unusual for me.

As for Second Life.. I woke up this morning to the exciting news that I've been accepted as an official blogger for Woodlands. So happy! I'm really loving blogging events, so that's what I'm going to concentrate on the most - apart from the odd thing here and there of items I want to blog at my discretion of course. 
I now blog for Hello Beautiful, Woodlands and Sweet Tooth Fair (which is coming soon) I applied to blog for La Boutique too.. but I've not heard back from that one yet. If I don't hear anything, then we'll know it was a no I guess!

Right.. onto my gorgeous look of the day. I'm wearing a beautiful dress from LVS Kids today.. it's not a new outfit, but it's new to my inventory and it is so pretty that I knew I had to blog it. It's called "Lil Sister Tiffany" It fits both baby and kid ToddleDoo avatars (as it resizes easily) and it has a flexi bottom.. and dresses/gowns are the only thing that I don't mind wearing prims for.. anything else and I'd cry uncontrollably wearing it. Well.. maybe that's an exaggeration, but I wouldn't be very happy about it! This dress doesn't come with shoes, but that's easily fixed.. I'm sure everyone has a pair that will go! I absolutely love the dresses and gowns from LVS Kids and I hope I see more of them in the future. Mesh is great, but you can't beat a lovely gown or dress from time to time.. if it's done really nicely.
