♥ Cupcakes ♥

So, the Sweet Tooth Fair was cancelled.. but don't fret, it's been replaced with something better called Mud Pie. I got invited to go look at the sim and it's a much better set up, so hopefully those who are making the switch will be all be refunded for the extortionate amount that they were charged to participate and enjoy this new event instead.

This adorable cupcake outfit I'm wearing, from Amarei Kids, is just one of the items that made the switch to the Mud Pie event. Isn't it cute? It fits both baby and kid ToddleeDoo avatars and it even comes with matching nail HUD.. and you know I do love a good nail HUD! 

In other news, it's my birthday tomorrow in real life. I'm going to be 29! How scary is that?! I can't hardly believe I've made it this far.. especially since I was told repeatedly as a kid that I'd not make it past my 18th birthday due to my problems. I'm still alive and kicking! Well.. alive anyways. I have a Despicable Me Birthday cake to celebrate.. which I may or may not have cut into prematurely. -Coughs loudly-
I'm going to be on my own in real life tomorrow.. so it's nice that my SL mummy has made time and plans for me so I don't feel alone. She's really awesome like that. ♥

Tomorrow it's Mothers Day in the UK. It's a difficult day for me.. in real life my mother passed away when I was 17 years old.. after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. I watched her deteriorate in front of my eyes and towards the end she was bedridden, couldn't move anything but her head and she didn't even know who I was. 
I loved her dearly. She was my best friend.
It's been a while since she died, seeing as I'm almost 29 now, but the pain doesn't disappear, it doesn't lessen. I didn't think I'd function after her death, we all knew it was coming and I was sure that I'd end up in a vegetative state not wanting to do anything. Life goes on though.. it's hard and painful, but it does go on. You have to. 
At the end of this post I'm linking to a song my sister and I picked that was played at her funeral. I can't listen to it without crying, so I probably won't be listening.. but I wanted to share. 
So this post is dedicated to my mother and anyone else who reads this who has lost their mother too.. and up is where we go from here. ♥

What better way than to go up than this awesome balloon ride (in picture #3) from Plethora. You can find this "Balloon Voyage" at The Liason Collaborative from the 15th March 2015 until 10th April 2015. 
You steer with your usual arrow controls and when you go up, the balloons on the side inflate.. and it even has sounds! I feel like I'm in the film "UP" when I sit in this.. so the title of the post only seemed right. It's 16 land impact.. you rez it out and sit on it (anyone can sit on it actually, not just the owner) so although it's fairly high on land impact, this is something you'd bring out once in a while for a fun little trip, not something you'd leave out.. unless you really have those prims to spare!

Have you been to La Boutique yet? If not, you should definitely go. I picked up so much cute stuff there.. including this adorable jumper from new store BunBun. There's actually several styles to pick up. I grabbed a few of the pink ones I liked! Because.. pink! I will be blogging more from that event soon.

I searched all over marketplace to find a pair of trousers that would go with my jumper.. and found these epic ones from Turducken. You get two pairs.. the colour you picked and a plain white pair - which worked out awesomely for this look. I love the 3D bubble bits on the bottom of the legs, so cute.

My hair is a group gift from Love Soul. There was (annoyingly) a large fee to join the group.. and even more irritating you have to wait around for your letter to appear on the group lucky board to obtain this style. I spent a few days in Love Soul waiting for my letter.. my mummy kept me company most of the time while I stood around waiting.. when it finally came around I was so excited! Then I realised it wasn't even the colour I wanted this style in! I waited for my letter to appear again.. and then ended up with this colour pack. It's still not the shade I want, but it'll do until I can be bothered to wait around again for the blonder shade. It's a super cute style though and was definitely worth the wait.

Check out this cute sweater from Tiny Trinkets, which fits both baby and kid ToddleeDoo's. it's got cute ruffles on the collar area and a happy pumpkin design on the front. I teamed the sweater with some mint wide leg pants from Baby Pie and awesome boots from Snips & Snails.

I'm also holding this epic pumpkin bag from Tiny Trinkets. This one featured is the girls version, but don't worry boys you have not been forgotten.. there is also a boy version without the cute bow on it! What I love about this pumpkin bag is that if you click it you receive a load of goodies.. one of which is this pumpkin pez I'm holding. Little pez particle pieces randomly emit from it! It made me all nostalgic for when I would buy pez as a kid in real life.. I've not seen them in ages! Also in the contents you can find: choco, coffee, lemon, pistachio, raspberry and vanilla macarons (which are holdable and animated)

I love this "Batmoon RARE" that's in the background, from Winter Ravens.. which I found at this round of Woodland Treasures Gatcha. I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to have it.. and low and behold on my first try I got it! My mummy liked it so much she wanted it on the outside of our house on the upstairs window.. and yes, I might be posing on the roof for this picture.. luckily nobody is around to yell at me and tell me how dangerous it is.

♥ Zombified ♥

The Little Mermaid is my fav Disney film from my childhood. I was absolutely in love with it.. I wanted to be a mermaid and was so disappointed when I was told I couldn't actually be one. My first talent show my parents entered me into (I had pushy parents who were determined I'd have a singing career) was a song from The Little Mermaid "Part of your world" I was so nervous, it was my first time on stage and all the other kids were older than me. I had to get one of the older girls to zip my dress up because I couldn't do it. Anyways, I came second place.. first place was twin girls, I'm not even sure what their act was.. but I definitely remember it was twins and was annoyed that part of the reason I didn't come first was because I didn't have a twin.  My love of mermaids has stayed with me and my very first real life tattoo in fact was of a mermaid with red hair.. in homage to my love of the film. I think if I had my own private pool (where nobody could see me of course) I'd invest in one of those mermaid tails and attempt to swim in my pool with it.. or just lounge around by the side of the pool looking beautiful (well, sadly that part wouldn't happen.. more like a beached whale!) 

Anyway, when my friend ZoZo said she was doing zombie Disney outfits.. I was hoping there'd be an Ariel one and was super excited when she dropped this outfit on me. I had to show it to you guys.. even zombie Ariel looks awesome.

The necklace is from TinyOWL and found at the Ever After event.. my daddy worked so hard to get me Ariel in silver. I have such an awesome family.

Love these bubble backpacks from LAYOVER, found at Kustom9. If you've not been over there yet, you should go. Grownup events nearly always have something that can be modded to fit us. These cute teddy phones were too hard to pass up too.

♥ I Have So Many Feels ♥

I'm so sensitive.. to the people nearest and dearest to me, they know this. So, when I got super upset the other day over something so small; it's not really a surprise to the people that know me that I had a melt down. The person who upset me, didn't mean to.. and thought they were being funny.. but there was lots of stuff going on in the background too that led me up to that point. It just made me think what a delicate person I am and how my world can crumble with one small action or a few words that set me off. This inspired the picture below and I'm so proud of it!

The radio accessory included here was all thanks to my awesome friend ZoZo sending me one. I absolutely love it, thank you! It's from Sugabees and plays music when you walk.. or as my Great Uncle said, "What's that jungle music that's playing? It sounds like Disney music or something.." and then my daddy told him it was my radio. lol. It's pretty epic and most of the things in the store are epic too, definitely one to check out. If you're into 7seas fishing, they also have some custom rods up for grabs if you fish in store.

♥ Kitten Pals ♥

I always collect the Intrigue Co. plushies whenever they are at The Arcade. I own all but two rounds now.. and that's only because I didn't know about the event to get the ones I missed. These are the latest collection - Kitten Pals. 18 adorable kitties with a cat tree and jungle gym for you to collect. I managed to get most from the gatcha, but when it started spitting out the 10th persian kitty, I asked friends and tracked down 2 more I was missing and then I went yard sale shopping for the last 2 kitties I couldn't get out of the gatcha. Collection complete, mission complete!

♥ Arcade Photography Contest ♥

I don't usually enter these photography contests. Why? Because usually they are those awful pay to vote for your friends ones and it turns into a popularity contest rather than a talent contest. It's all about who you know and not what you know.. y'know? I absolutely loathe that. Maybe I only hate it so much because I don't have very many friends.. or maybe I'm just too considerate to try to tp my whole friends list to one of those things and demand votes. Plus, people tend to vote more than once and vote for themselves on alts etc etc.. it all gets a bit unfair..

But when I saw The Arcade Photography Contest was judged by judges.. I took a chance. I have no chance in winning next to the entries that I've already seen.. but it was fun to put together and thank you mummy for helping me get my idea out there. I was yabbering on and on to my mummy about the idea I had in my head and she just ran with it and turned it into something even more awesome than I imagined.. so that left me to make it look a bit prettier and I came out with this:

I'm not usually a green fan, but I love this outfit! It's just very playful and cute. It's from Soken Kids, like you didn't already know that from just looking at it?! Great quality mesh. There's some minor clipping around the neckline in this picture, caused by my ao.. I could have edited it out, but I'd feel like I was hiding something if I did. It only clips like that in certain positions on my ao and is not the creators fault.

I think I want the pugs, the intrigue co kitties to add to my plushies collection, the fairy tree house is cute,  the walkie talkies sound awesome and there's so much more that my brain might explode from excitement if I think on it too much longer.

Just Kidding has a cute outfit, Dappers & Darlings has super cute mermaid looks, Buttons & Bows has some cute outfits out.. but my personal favorite of the week has to be from Tic Tac Toe.. a guitar typer. ♥ Meow ♥

Today I am kitted out in kitty gear, which is ironic as the kitty we were on trial with decided she didn't want to be a kitty anymore and is back as a ToddleeDoo. Guess us ToddleeDoo avatars are just too irresistible! I wasn't mad though, you have to do what makes you happy in Second Life. After all, it's our escape from real life.. and to be stuck in Second Life and not be happy would suck! 

This outfit is made up of top and bottoms from Soken Kids. You know how much I am in love with the mesh quality from there.. just wish I could afford more of the full perm ones for myself! The design of the kitty head on the hoodie is adorable. You can't see the boxers under the hoodie that are on the top of the pants, but they're pretty cute with little hearts all over them.. that's also a heart on the belt buckle! The shoes are from Baby Swag.. I find they always just fit really well with Soken stuff. The kitty I'm desperately trying to cling onto is from Larnia Kids.

♥ So, it'll soon be Christmas.. ♥

Yay, it's Christmas soon! I've been soooo busy in real life it's not even funny. I've been thankful for the moments where I've been able to sit down for longer than five minutes and have some time without even thinking about Christmas. 

Had to go visit family which was fun, especially when the kids have the chicken pox and stinking colds. I don't have the best health, so hopefully I don't get a cold or shingles.. (though shingles is usually more common to get if you're over 50, which I'm not) My niece decided to blow her nose and then give me the tissue as a gift.. lovely. 

I've been really tired too, but my new medication I'm on doesn't help.. that makes me pretty drowsy. So, between sleeping and Christmas preparations etc I've not had a whole lot of time for the things I usually enjoy. 

Planning to do a lot of baking from Christmas eve onwards.. I have a birthday cake to bake Christmas eve, I still have the gingerbread house to make that I volunteered to do (stupidly) and there's these chocolate things I said I'd do too. I think basically between cooking Christmas dinners, birthday party food, cakes, biscuits etc.. I'm gonna be camped in the kitchen for about 3 days. I think I'd rather be there than waiting at the table though.. everyone goes mad at Christmas.. it does my head in. The shops close for a few days and everyone panic buys. It's not the end of the world people!! It's like 3 days.. you really do not need 24 pints of milk and 100 toilet rolls etc to see you through 3 days!

If I say Christmas one more time in this, I think I might have an aneurysm.. I'm gonna try to refrain from saying it, instead I'm going to call it festivities from now. 

Anyways, back onto the main reason for my blog. Second Life stuff! I wish I had more to write about Second Life things, but sadly I don't.. my family had a blip and almost split up; but for now it seems to be rectified (for how long though remains to be seen) 

This festive looking outfit is from Sew Cute and the gorgeous accompaniments (the reindeer plushie and the polar bear attachment) are from silentsparrow and Beetlebones. The adorable animals to collect from Beetlebones are just darling and if you don't fall in love with one of the land or sea ones.. well.. you must just dislike cute things. Nah, each to their own I guess! Thanks to my friend ZoZo for giving me this one.. he's been stuck by my side ever since.

Since I'm planning on making a gingerbread house in real life, thought I'd wear something in Second Life to reflect that.

♥ Arctic Snow Days ♥

Don't you just hate it when you turn up to Limited 50 late?! I turned up late and my fav store Baby Pie had sold out. I did manage to pick up a few things, however, but irritatingly the few things I really did want were the ones that were sold out. 

I had to reason with myself when I was browsing Limited 50 too.. I really liked the dollhouse by AR and the dinosaur rocker (sorry it escapes me who made that off the top of my head) but I decided that they would just end up in my inventory and never get to see the light of day. I'm sure my parents don't want me to clutter up their house any more with my prims and I can't afford to just have a parcel just for my play items. I already pay for a parcel for my KittyCatS and my store *Awwdorable* and I struggle to keep those going! 

Even ended up buying custom trainers/sneakers/hi-tops (whatever you call them) Well, technically they're not made yet.. but I bought a form to get them made however I want which is pretty cool.. but I know if I really pulled a finger out I could have made them myself, so hopefully they'll do an epic job and put me to shame and it won't be just another of my impulse purchases that I end up regretting later on.

Anyway, decided to blog a different outfit from Baby Pie.. since I didn't get the one from Limited 50. -Cries pathetically- This one is Arctic Snow Days and is utterly cute, as usual.

Absolutely adore what Intrigue Co. comes up with.. The plushies from The Arcade are too cute and this round was no exception, bringing us a super cute collection of Forest Pals. I managed to get my hands on the whole collection (with many gatcha attempts) and I am displaying them on and around their  RARE tree display. I love how they all have names and a sweet little poem when you click on them too.

Also I'm wearing these freakin' adorable Fox Pajamas, also from Intrigue Co. These were found at the latest Collabor88. Not only do you get the ToddleeDoo baby and kid version for 188 lindens.. but you get male and female adult and regular child version too! They're mesh and a must have for SLers who enjoy all things cute. Get your whole family to wear one for an awesome funny family pic. Sadly I've not been about much in SL lately to get my family in on this.. but one day I will get that funny family pic! Mwhahaha! ♥

I've been soooooo busy all day, I'm just glad to sit down and relax and finally go through some of the blog posts I've been meaning to do. So, I'm going to keep this short and sweet so I can get through a couple at least.

I was feeling particularly professional when working on my new project, so I slipped into this ultra cool suit by Cade. Now don't get me wrong, I like the suit.. but I had to grumble a little when my shoes and socks were two different sizes and completely in the wrong position. But after some quick editing, they were looking pretty awesome. It was from the last round of Woodland Treasure Gatcha, I swapped with my friend as he won the pink one and I won the blue one.. and needless to say it was a better fit for both of us to have the opposite colour.

The snowman in the background my mummy made, it's an old build of hers but it still rocks, it plays "Walking in the air" song when you click it. Pretty nifty! My mummy is hugely talented when it comes to building. I keep hoping some of her awesomeness will rub off onto me. One can dream! 

This is actually a sneaky peek of our project in a way.. you'll see why soon enough!

Lastly, my nose is cold. Thought you'd wanna know.

Feeling a little bit optimistic about today. I have lots I want to achieve and I know I can if I put my mind to it.. it's just getting in the zone which is the hard part. So far I'm doing excellent, up early and already got a few things I had planned to do out of the way.. hopefully I can channel that into Second Life later to work on my project some more. 

I think the newest round of Woodland Gatcha starts up today.. or at least soon.. I could be wrong though. I'll need to investigate later.

The Arcade event is only days away now.. so exciting! I'm eagerly awaiting the shopping guide on it's website so I can try to work out how poor it's going to make me. Like you all weren't thinking the same thing? lol

♥ Getting in the mood for Christmas ♥

Feeling Christmassy now. A little bit anyway, maybe it's because it's so cold over here in the UK. I'm frozen to the bone!

This is a pretty cute outfit from Glitter Outfitters and very festive with the deer on the front of the sweater. 

Kinda experimented with some lighting here as my usual settings just made the sweater look like it had nothing on it at all.. but have now decided that it looks a bit moody. Hmm..
