♥ Feeling Pretty ♥

This will be my last post of today I think.. I've somehow managed to churn out three posts even though I feel terrible! I think trying to keep my mind off how bad I feel has helped a lot though.. keeping myself busy, busy, busy. 

In other news I just passed 900 pictures I've uploaded to flickr. I think that's a pretty awesome number! Now to make it a thousand.

This outfit I'm wearing is so adorable, it's from des lunes and you can find at the very awesome event "La Boutique" right now. There are lots of different colour dungarees to choose from and lots of different colour/patterned undershirts to choose from too. I opted for the pink dungarees with the buggies tee. The tee goes great with the necklace and earrings set from ToddleTeeZ that's at La Boutique too.

My hair is new from Tableau Vivant which you can find at this round of Collabor88. I'm always really excited when I can shrink a hair down to fit me.. and this messy short style is super cute.

♥ There it goes.. the last crap I gave ♥

So.. this is a bit more rebellious and different from my usual posts. I felt like doing something completely different! 

I am loving this "There it goes... the last crap I gave" sign from Plethora. It's so funny. There's a more adult version of this too, which I really had to stop myself from using! I think I'm just teetering on the edge of offensive with this one.. so I don't want to push my boundaries too far. I might end up in a permanent time out if I did! This sign is perfect too because it's a nice reminder that I need to stop giving a crap about certain things.. I need to be less competitive. I have to try to keep myself grounded and stop getting irritated over little things.. and constantly try to compete with everyone. I'm doing my best and that is all I can do.. there goes the last crap I gave!

♥ Bonjour Skunk ♥

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all having a fantastic weekend! 

My finger feels a little better today.. I discovered I had magnesium sulphate paste in my medicine cabinet (which I'd totally forgotten about) and so that's helping loads to draw out the infection.. hopefully it'll get rid of it and I'll be back to my usual self in no time.

I've not done much this weekend.. I've procrastinated a lot while playing The Sims 4. I had fun launching my sim into space over and over repeatedly. I was absolutely devastated when he crash landed and I had to spend money to rebuild his rocket. Lol. I need a life.

Anyways, onto this cute outfit I'm wearing.. I'm wearing a top from Fablehood, which is available at this round of Woodlands. There are several plain versions and a few different rares to collect, for both baby and kid ToddleeDoo avatars. I'm wearing the "Bonjour Floral RARE" This one is my favorite out of them all.. and it makes me laugh a lot because my mummy always goes, "Bonjour!" She told me to include that in my post. 

I have on adorable "Versailles Boots" from Bad Seed Boutique, which are also available at this round of Woodlands. They fit baby and kid ToddleeDoo's! I'm wearing the cute pink shade, but they also come in: white, mint, lemon, blue and hot pink. A perfect little boot that will go with a lot of outfits. I've accessorised them with bow socks from Bad Seed Boutique too - which just go together I think.

In the last picture I have on hilarious cross eyes from Tic Tot Toe.. these funny eyes are available at this round of Hello Beautiful. Lots of different colours to choose from, but I've opted to show off the blue ones today. These are great for those funny photos!

Also in the last picture I'm wearing "Cupcakes On My Head - Colors RARE" from tiptoes, which are just perched on top of my head. These are available at this round of Woodlands.. be sure to snap them up! Everyone needs a cupcake from time to time!

I am loving this new hair from *BABY* This one is called "Sarah" and is rigged for ToddleeDoo's. I'm excited to see what other styles get released!

Look at these adorable skunks from MishMish which can be picked up at this round of Collabor88. The one on top of my head nibbling on my cupcakes is animated.. and the one on my arm is static. They come with decorative ones sniffing flowers too.. which is pretty cute. I'm loving the backpack, the HUD changes the colour of it! It was easy to resize too, just stretch it. There wasn't anything else there that I liked either apart from these.. a little disappointing this round for kids.. luckily the skunks more than made up for it.

Quick note on my skin.. although isn't available anymore.. if you're looking for a similar look Pink Fuel has one called "Doll V2" that's pretty close to this skin.

♥ Sophisticated ♥

First of all, let me preface this post with the following.. those of you who read what I have to say (as well as look at my blog pictures) are awesome. It keeps me wanting to write and share more.. so thank you. 

Anyways..

The last few days have been a swirl of figures in my real life. My fiancee and I are currently trying to navigate the treacherous path of mortgages. If you've ever done it, I'm sure you'll agree it's a lot to swallow.. especially since it's the first time we've done it. Yep, we're first time buyers.. and as first time buyers it's not been an easy path to follow, there's been a lot of conflicting information thrown at us along the way too. I think we're finally starting to get a grasp on things now, which is good.. especially because we've seen a house we are extremely interested in and want to put an offer in on. I've rented for 11 years and my partner has rented even longer than that (since he's older) So a place that is finally ours is more than a little overdue. It's an exciting and scary thing to do though.. and because there's lots of money involved you really have to think about what you are doing. You are bombarded with information and it can all be a little overwhelming. Calculating fees for solicitors charges, insurance, moving cost, stamp duty etc etc.. is a long and arduous process. No wonder I prefer being a toddler in Second Life.. being a grownup is just so hard! I know that this will be incredibly rewarding should our offer be accepted - but I also know that it can take a while for things to go through so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much (even though in my head it's already ours!) They say good things come to those who wait.. so I'm going to sit here and wait patiently for our offer to be accepted............. Hmm....... -drums fingers on the arm of my chair- Okay.. I'm bored of waiting now. 

So.. anyways, Second Life is good right now. Between Blogging and hanging out with my mummy I've done a little creating on the side. I hope to get back into creating a little more than I have been.. so Awwdorable will probably be seeking out events to participate in to get the name seen a little more. Watch this space! Not literally.. because this space is going to stay the same. Oh, you know what I mean!

As for my sophisticated look that I'm wearing today, it was all inspired around this cute pink coat dress from Little Closet that I got at La Boutique. This is an event that definitely has quality designers in and I pretty much snapped up nearly everything in this round.. so you'll be seeing more soon.

Thank you to my awesome mummy for helping me set up my stage for this post. Soon as my mummy saw me she said I looked like a mini Britney.. and thus this post was born! 

I jumped at the chance to blog this "Glitter Pal" outfit for Sugar & Spice.. it's just so awesome! Not only does it fit baby and kid ToddleeDoo avatars.. but it comes with dress, boots, tights, hairbow and head microphone. I felt like a little starlet in the making strutting around the stage with my microphone. If that wasn't cool enough, the dress and boots are scripted to sparkle. Yes, you read that right.. they glitter away and it looks amazing. There's 3 colour choices too.. you can pick from pink, purple or blue.. so you and your friends can dress up and take centre stage. Naturally I picked the pink.. but they are all equally adorable!

♥ Thinking Out Loud ♥

I love it when family just falls into your lap unexpectedly.. yesterday I acquired a grandma, grandpa, four aunties and cousins. It's really nice when things work out! I now have tons of family, a few close friends and an amazing mummy. 

My outfit today is from Minuet. It's adorable! This dress comes in other colours too, but I liked the white the most.. which is what I'm showing you today. It's called "Corrie" and it's just darling.. it has frilly ruffles and it just screams cute. It fits baby and kid ToddleeDoo's too.. be sure to check Minuet as there is always cute outfits to be found there! 

My purse is an adorable freebie from Bad Seed Boutique. I got it on the Valentines Hunt which you hunt for little hearts. It's still going, but I'm not sure for how much longer.. so be quick! Lots of very cute stuff to be found for free on the HullaBaloo sim.

♥ Totally Dressed Myself! ♥

Ever pull out the wildest combination of clothing and think, "TADA!" 
No..? Just me then.. anyways, this whacky unicorn outfit from Tic Tot Toe screams, "I totally dressed myself!" Don't I look pleased as punch standing in my room in this ensemble? This outfit comes with top, skirt, shoes, glasses (not positioned on the head like I have them) and headphones complete with unicorn horn. 
I found the headphones played nice after I rezzed them on the ground and chucked a resize script in them.. much easier to get the right size for your head like that. I'm not a fan of messing with stretch unless I really have to! I just suck at it. So.. if like me, you hate playing with stretch.. I recommend doing that.

Many thanks to Addie, owner of Little Pixels, for the idea that inspired this blog post.. though it wasn't executed as well as I'd have liked.. I couldn't find kids clothes on the ground to buy that were positioned right for this post. I then had the bright idea that I'd photoshop them in.. but could I find any clothing on the ground in the right position I needed? No! I ended up putting in two piles of clothes.. and I'm pretty sure they stick out like sore thumbs. Now that I think about it.. that whole sore thumb thing is a weird expression.

♥ Raining Hearts ♥

Hello everyone!

Well, it's been an uneventful few days for me really.. so I haven't got that much to talk about. I had a wicked migraine yesterday that left me bedridden for the whole day! I didn't even log onto SL, which is so unlike me. I'm okay though, feeling much better today! I seem to have days where I'm absolutely fine and then the next I'm really ill with something or other.. story of my life! lol

Anyways, today I grabbed my awesome friend Taylor to come pose with me. I didn't really ask either.. I just went, "Taylor, log on and pose with me!" true story. Thankfully he did and the results are super cute. He won't disclose what he's wearing though, sorry. He said he's a ninja and ninjas never tell what they have on.. but I list all my stuff!

I'm wearing a fabulous skin applier from Bad Seed Boutique again. This one is called "Molly" and the tone I'm wearing is the pale tone, but it does come in peach too. Like the other appliers from Bad Seed Boutique there are several options on the HUD to choose from (Picture at the end of the HUD) so you can change it up a bit. I'm wearing the mesh head "Steady" from Cute Bytes again.. it's adorable. I'm really loving these appliers for mesh heads.. it brings a whole new look to the head and stops everyone from looking the same. These appliers have even made people ask if I got a new shape or a new head.. some people didn't even know I had a mesh head on at all and just thought I'd changed my shape up a bit. I think I might have converted a few people to mesh heads because of how adorable these skin appliers are.

My outfit is from That's So Kyoot which I teamed with some cute tights from Turducken - this outfit seemed very appropriate for Valentines Day.. which is fast approaching! 
I don't have any plans in real life as my fiancee is going away tomorrow until Tuesday.. so I'll be all by my lonesome! 
Since I've spent Valentines Day on Second Life sometimes, I learnt that my friends across the pond (America) even give gifts to their friends and not just their significant other. I find that very odd and it's not something that I do, but I appreciate others do it and thank my friends for any gifts they do give me.. but it's really not necessary! 

The hair I have on is "My Love Hair" from Tableau Vivant, which I had no problems fitting to my head. I saw it at this round of Collabor88 and knew immediately that I had to have it. So cute!

♥ Blank Space ♥

For those of you who don't know.. well.. I went back to my mummy. I had left because of changes and the fact that we never got to spend time together any more due to real life circumstances. I left thinking that I'd maybe find another family who had more time to spend on Second Life. But after I did leave.. it didn't feel right. I didn't even bother starting to search for another family, it upset me too much to think of myself with anyone else. I've never felt that before with any other family.. I missed my mummy too much. I asked to come back.. which, seeing what a complete idiot I was - she had every right to say no. I probably hurt her when I left and for that I'm eternally sorry. It turns out that I was allowed back though.. so yay! I'm so thankful of that. I missed her so much! I said that I would just accept that there were changes and if we didn't see each other much, then so be it.. I just needed her in my life again. So.. this post is dedicated to you mummy. ♥

I'm wearing a fab skin applier from Bad Seed Boutique again, called "Belle", this skin applier has many options! I've included a picture of the HUD again to show you the different options. The option I have on is the lashes one, because I do like to have pretty eyelashes! This particular applier comes in three different skin tones too: pale, peach and tan. I'm wearing the pale tone, I'm really digging pale tones at the moment.. quite a difference to my tanned stage I went through. It's to be noted that these appliers only work with mesh heads from Cute Bytes, like this one I have on called "Steady" 

I have on a fabulous robe from Minuet, which are available in a gatcha at The Play Room. It's an original mesh too and is just darling! Check out the little belt detail on the back! Super cute. The one I have on is a RARE but they are all adorable. I think these robes work perfectly for early mornings or evenings.. and will make for good pictures to reflect that.

I'm holding an awesome tray by dust bunny and windsong - which is available at this round of Chapter Four. It's very detailed and is perfect for this Valentines Day. Show those you care about with this surprise waiting for them. Mummy, this tray is for you! To show you how much I love you! I love you with all my butt! I would say heart, but my butt is bigger.. teehee! ♥

♥ Unicorns I love them! ♥

I haven't blogged for a few days, I've been focusing a bit more on real life.. which is exhausting.. it's so much nicer when I don't worry about it, but I know I need to.

Well.. I can officially say now that I left my family. While it is sad that things happened how they did, I can't go back and change them and I know in my heart that there were things that weren't working how I'd have liked anyway. 
Will I be looking for a new family? No. Not right now. It doesn't seem right to do that after spending over a year with a family.. to just start fresh so soon. I spoke to a friend who said that many people would just start the search again, but I'm not like that.. don't think it's right. I would still feel the same even if I wasn't a kid avi.. and if I was a parent who had lost a kid in the family that had been with me for a long time there is no way I'd put up a panel looking again. I feel it would be disrespectful.. like you're trying to erase the memory of them immediately. I guess I'd wait at least a month or two before embarking on the whole process again otherwise it would just seem like I didn't care about them at all. Which is really harsh... and I did care about my family, so I'm not ready to look right now. 

Besides.. I'm focusing on real life, which means that I'm not as involved in things on Second Life as I have been.. guess it would be kind of pointless to start with a family not being on so much.. which is part of the reason that things with my family before ended. Things just move too fast in Second Life if you're not there.. it sucks. 

I've decided that forever family is a myth.. in a sense that none of the families that I've settled with have lasted like I hoped. Things always change, they get tired of me or real life happens.. or it just doesn't feel right. My advice to anyone looking for a forever family is this.. stop. Find a family, by all means.. but don't think it will last because it won't. Enjoy it while things are happy though.. just realise all good things do come to an end. There are the few families who do slip through the cracks and make it work no matter what.. kudos to them.

It's weird because those I consider forever family are not family.. they're just people I've met in Second Life. All of them were met through family, but no matter what the situation we always find each other again.

A good friend of mine fits into that category above and has been kind enough to let me stay with them, "The Roth Family". I've known them for what would seem like ages and no matter what avatar they use we always talk.. I'd not met his girlfriend before, but she accepted me straight away. Even made me this little house outside (pictured below, in the second picture) full of girly toys and things especially for me. She even went as far as baby proofing the lake behind by putting up a really cute fence. They have been lovely in taking me in and giving me much needed cuddles. They may even become my God Parents.. who knows. I'm so thankful that they pulled me out of the sandbox that I was squatting in. That makes it sound like I was pooping there.. I mean.. I had set it up as home, even though it was public. lol

Off of the family topic now and onto the main point of my post.. dun dun dun.. the outfit! A lot of my accessorising was done at this round of Collabor88. It's super cute over there with all the unicorn related stuff.. and well I do love unicorns so I couldn't resist.

I'm wearing an outfit from tiptoes. I've never bought from them before, but seen tons of cute stuff from them and since I had been so busy blogging for sponsors I hadn't had a chance to try them out.. until today! I love this cute pink dress with bows all over the bottom. It's such a complete outfit too, since it comes with shoes, hairband, tights and bracelet.. and it wasn't badly priced either. I will definitely be shopping there again!

The outfit I'm wearing today is from Heffalumps.. and it's adorable. It's called "Santa's Helper" and it comes with the sleigh you see in the background.. complete with Rudolph. How awesome is that?! If that wasn't epic enough.. the sleigh is totally driveable too! What a bargain.. an outfit, a sweet ride and all extremely festive. Love it!

♥ Snow Bunnies ♥

I'm so creative.. my title is practically the same name as my hair. -Giggles-

Anyways, this adorable hair is from Tableau Vivant. I grabbed it at Collabor88. I saw it and immediately went "Awwww bunnies!" and put the demo on and my mummy said on voice (as we were in a conference call shopping together) "That is adorable, Kaci" and it finally rezzed in and I had to agree.. so I bought it faster than I can type this. True story. It wasn't too tricky to size.. I just rezzed it on the ground and popped a resize script in it. The bunnies are animated too! Or you can wear the non animated ones if you prefer.

My jacket and boots are from Strawberry Turtle. They can be found at this round of Woodlands. I love the baby pink colour of these.. as pink always grabs my attention at the moment. I'm especially loving the boots with the little snowflake pattern on them. Very cute!

I've got on winter leggings from Little Nerds. They come in a 6 pack, but I keep rocking the white ones.. as they seem to go with practically everything. They are now my fave wintery leggings/tights.

Can I just talk about this thing around my neck for a second? It's super cute! It's an ermine.. which is something I've never heard of before.. but I'm assured it is a real critter. It's cute and in this lovely pinky hue. My mummy won this one at The Arcade and gave it to me and I went awwww. So, thanks mummy! ♥

In other news I now have a daddy.. it's official. I'm so happy to have him as part of my family. Yay! ♥

Okay, so I'm in the Christmas spirit. I'm getting super excited now and singing Christmas songs and everything.. I'm even beginning to annoy myself.

What better way to get into the festive spirit than to put on a beautiful formal Christmassy gown from LVS KIDS. I'm actually showing off two versions of it.. because they are both so pretty. See both pictures.The dresses are mesh and fit both baby and kid ToddleeDoo avatars. These would be perfect for Christmas day.. once you've ripped open all your presents and finally get out of your PJs that is!
