♥ Chill ♥

I haven't managed to get a good nights sleep at all.. so what do I do in these instances? I blog! I need to learn to chill out a bit more and stop getting myself so stressed, so that's exactly what I did.. took myself off to a pretty sim to chill and get some relaxation time. I wasn't worrying about deadlines or anything, just taking my time. Think we all could do with chilling out from time to time.

Hello Beautiful opened it's doors for it's seventh round today. Lots of fantastic creators all in one space, what's not to love about that?! It's a really awesome theme too, so there's lots of diversity in what has been made and there's something for everyone.

Babysteps have made an awesome hair for this round of Hello Beautiful. It's called "Addyline" It comes with the beret attached and an awesome HUD for the hair (including changing root colour) and you can colour the beret from a few different options. I normally wear blonde hair, so for the majority of my pics I am wearing the blonde one. At the very bottom I have included a pic of one colour from each of the packs though.. they are pretty awesome. From top left to right: Brunettes, Black&White and Dips. From bottom left to right: Ombres, Pastels and Reds. You could even treat yourself to the fatpack if you can't decide which colour pack you like. The hair is easily resizable too with a simple click. No rezzing it on the ground and putting in your own resizer.. or messing around trying to find the HUD button.. just click your hair and you're good to go! I hope this is the first of many hairstyles from Babysteps.

My outfit today is from Heffalumps, it's called "Tilly" - so naturally I gravitated towards it because that's also my mummy's name. I think these little flats from Minuet go so perfectly with it. Usually I'm not the kind to dress as dark as this, but I'm trying to experiment with new styles and stepping out of my comfort zone a little more here and there.

♥ What a Hoot ♥

Having been left to my own devices today I decided to have some play time with this adorable play gym from Aphrodite. This set is available at Room69 from the 1st of May. The set is called "My Sweet Baby Owl" Play Gym for babies and kids" and it's 20 prims - well, land impact if you're newer to SL. 
It's a really cute set and has tons of animations in it, some for just on your own and some for when a parent is with you. I'm being read a story in the last picture.. see! 
I love that some of the animations give you a prop to hold onto.. such as a book, or a stuffed owl.. or a block. 
This set will work with ToddleeDoo and prim babies (such as Zooby) however, it is worth noting that it won't change the babies stats.
Parents are able to use the parents animations.. carrying their baby prims and also play with the toys with them, or read to them, etc but the gyms wont move the prim babies by itself or change its stats. All animations work with ToddleeDoo or similar mesh avatars though.
Not only does it look cute, but each individual hanging owl moves and it plays a cute little tune too! Check out the gif and video at the end (video courtesy of Aphrodite).

Don't you just hate it when you take all your pictures that you wanted and then realise afterwards that the quality wasn't at the level you usually have it! That happened with this set of pictures.. luckily I don't think it notices too badly. I managed to rescue them in the editing process a little. 

Yesterday it was my years engagement anniversary. I can't believe it's been a year since I got engaged. Been 11 years too since we first got together.. time flies so fast! It was a bit boring and lonely since I was on my own yesterday (as he's still away working) but I spent a lot of time watching Netflix in bed to cheer me up.

I did some of my English work last night too. I really thought I was going to breeze through this course and find it so easy.. how wrong was I?! It's really difficult. I just have to say, if anyone that reads this and English isn't your first language - you are awesome. I don't know how you've managed to learn. I'm struggling and it's my first language!

Anyways, this adorable outfit is called "Sarah Boho" and it's from the very awesome Heffalumps. Be sure to check Heffalumps out.. there's lots of cute new stuff coming out! If you want something a little different from the usual ToddleeDoo outfits, then Heffalumps is definitely a place to look.

I am loving these anklets from ToddleTeeZ. They are so cute! I never thought about putting an anklet on my baby avatar before, but it looks great and I love it. My SL mummy hit the nail on the head earlier tonight, I say tonight 'loosely' as it's now 5:21am as I type this.. anyway, she said that when I'm on my own I hit self destruct. I do. I really do. I'm not scared to admit that I'm a little messed up.. but most of us that are on Second Life are, aren't we? There's usually a reason that draws us in.. otherwise we'd be living our real lives and not sat in front of a computer. I know, for me personally, if I wasn't as screwed up as I am I would be doing so much more with myself than sitting here. That's not a stab at anyone that does who isn't screwed up in some way.. it's just the way it would be for me. 
I digress.
So, yeah, I hit self destruct when I am on my own. I struggle a lot more when I'm on my own. For some reason, not only do I struggle - but I make it my mission statement to destruct in every way possible. I won't go into detail, because it's depressing.. but.. I did destruct big time tonight. I guess that's why I'm still awake.. reflecting on everything. Right now my real life fiancee is away and when he's away I hit rock bottom. When he is here he keeps me relatively okay and won't let me fall too hard. We fight though.. sometimes about my issues, sometimes just because couples fight about dumb things. We once had an argument about who didn't close the bin lid in the kitchen.. I wish I was joking. So, as you can see, we may not always see eye to eye on everything; but he is my rock.. one for whom I cling to when things get stormy. When he's not here, my cat isn't much of a substitute. I love my cat, don't get me wrong.. but he's not the best conversationalist. I think we all need someone from time to time.. and when you're on your own it sucks. If anyone reads this and goes through a tough time and needs someone to reach out to.. reach out to me. I'd rather anyone reach out than feel as alone as I did earlier. It did make me think about how many of us are going through our own personal struggles.. how many of us are fighting off our own demons daily and why we do the dumb stuff we do when things get bad in our minds. Yeah, deep, huh? Anyway.. we shall now resume our normal blog stuff.. 

Onto the outfit stuff you all came here for! My outfit today is from LVS KIDS and it's a gorgeous formal gown called "Formals Family Night" There are two different versions you can buy.. the one I'm wearing, or version 2 which is only sparkly looking on the top half. I love a bit of bling though.. uh.. not the scary SL bling, the flashing LOOK AT ME I'M A NOOB bling. No, no, no.. I mean that I like a bit of sparkle, glitter.. whatever else you want to call it. It's a floor length gown (so you could get away with no shoes if you wanted) that fits both baby and kid ToddleeDoo avatars.

I'm wearing some awesome earrings from Adore, which are available at this current round of Woodlands. They are called "Children's Starter Earrings" I love them! They come with a HUD to choose different colours, silver or gold metal, resize and more (see below) They are perfect little studs to add a subtle bit of sparkle to your outfit and jazz up your ears in the process.
