I've been so incredibly busy in real life with all things grownup and boring. I've been so stressed with it all and haven't been able to log into Second Life at all since my last post.. so I'm glad today I got a little time online. I decided to go to the beach and look for seashells, because they're pretty and I thought it'd be a fun thing to do on my down time. Of course I had to look cute while on my beach adventure! I opted for an adorable swim set from ugly duckling, which is available at this round of La Boutique. There's less than a week left at this event, so if you've not been yet.. now is a good time to go before a new round starts. My pretty necklace and anklet are from ToddleTeeZ and they match! The necklace is available now at The Sidewalk Gacha event over on the NGI sim. I think the anklets are in store now, as they were a past event item.. but if you got any of those anklets these necklaces match them perfectly! Great time to get a matching set. I got myself a new hair for my beach adventure too, called "RIN", which is from Argrace. It comes with a rigged and unrigged version.. and the unrigged works for us and shrinks down amazingly well. It is a pretty ponytail with a colour change headband.. I'm happy I grabbed it.

Last post of the night before I drift off into dream land myself and try to get a good nights sleep.. that way I can be fresh for packing tomorrow. These vintage jammies are just adorable! They are a fabulous collaboration from Bad Seed Boutique and Turducken and are available right now at La Boutique. They come in lots of different colours.. I'm showing off the purple ones (I know, shock horror I didn't pick pink for once!) The other colours you can get are: Blue, Cream, Mint, Peach and Pink. These pjs fit both baby and kid ToddleeDoo's too, yay! The mesh is unique and I love the ruffle effect, it's just a gorgeous design and the texture work is superb! Still feeling funky, but decided to blog again.. so I don't fall too behind with blogs I've been wanting to get out. I've had so much bad news hit me lately, so it was really nice to get a bit of good news today.. looks like I'm moving at the end of the month! We hadn't heard anything for ages and then all of a sudden.. we have a potential moving date. Eeks! So much to do. I've got a crazy weekend of packing planned again. Only downside of this is I've had to pull out of events I was either meant to create or blog for around this time.. so I'm very sorry to those I've let down, but as much as it pains me to say.. real life comes first. Anyways.. La Boutique is still going on and if you haven't got down there yet - this is another piece I grabbed there from Cosmic Dust Kids.. an adorable v-neck cardigan that fits both baby and kid ToddleeDoo's. I picked pink, because, well if you read me regularly then you'll know I'm pretty hooked on pink right now. I wonder if I'll ever go off it.. This couch pose set was given to me by the awesome Goizane.. amazing flickr user (if you've ever seen her pictures, they rock) and owner of a pose store called "Fashiowl Poses" which I didn't know about until she gave me a couple of her poses. This adorable little bear sofa comes with various different hamsters to pose with in the various poses. I think it's very cute and unique!
This will be my last post of today I think.. I've somehow managed to churn out three posts even though I feel terrible! I think trying to keep my mind off how bad I feel has helped a lot though.. keeping myself busy, busy, busy. In other news I just passed 900 pictures I've uploaded to flickr. I think that's a pretty awesome number! Now to make it a thousand. This outfit I'm wearing is so adorable, it's from des lunes and you can find at the very awesome event "La Boutique" right now. There are lots of different colour dungarees to choose from and lots of different colour/patterned undershirts to choose from too. I opted for the pink dungarees with the buggies tee. The tee goes great with the necklace and earrings set from ToddleTeeZ that's at La Boutique too. My hair is new from Tableau Vivant which you can find at this round of Collabor88. I'm always really excited when I can shrink a hair down to fit me.. and this messy short style is super cute.
No matter how rubbish and ill I feel today, which is pretty rubbish and ill.. I've decided that I need to do more than I did yesterday.. which was.. laying in bed all day and night. I have an infection kicking my butt, stress levels maxed out from various things going on in real life and I've been feeling really low with it all. Today I've got out of bed and had a bath.. that's a start, right? I thought blogging might help me feel a bit better and give me something to do. I'm showing off more goodies from the event La Boutique today.. this time from the store {LPP} I love the fact that they are never super expensive and you can just get the outfit if you don't want the shoes and glasses too. I wanted the whole thing though for my geeky look.. I'd say this look is pretty unisex too.
This feels like an apt title of my post.. because I don't even know. I'm feeling pretty upset and stressed right now. I had the worst news in real life yesterday that added to all my other stresses. I kept crying on and off, I've gone through all emotions.. and now I feel a bit numb and lost. So.. yeah, the title is highly appropriate. I actually tried to post this yesterday, but flickr wouldn't let me upload any pictures.. luckily it's behaving for me at the moment.
Anyways.. onto Second Life and let me talk about my outfit... My adorable dress is from Dream. I have a few things to celebrate.. first of all, I realised that a couple of posts back on my "Cool Cat" post it was my 500th blog post. Yay! I can't believe I've done that many.. I know I've been blogging for a couple of years now, but still that's pretty crazy. I know, I had it already.. but tonight I'm going to be having a belated birthday evening with my real life fella. It was totally his idea. I made a cake for it, even though I'm having problems seeing anything right now - since the arm of my glasses snapped off this morning! I've been going around with my head tilted to the side to keep them on and then keep having to put them back on when they fall off.. which is a lot as I keep forgetting. Without them navigating anything is pretty much not going to happen. I'm pretty hopeless without them. I tried to walk down my hallway without them on and I felt really disorientated, it was weird not being able to see properly! But yeah, mini party tonight.. as he was working away on my actual birthday. Now onto what hopefully brought you here.. this marvellous outfit! Yes, I said marvellous. No, I haven't completely lost it.. well, maybe. Anyways, my outfit is from the fantastic ToddleTeeZ and it's not a gatcha one! Yay! My second post of the day. It's actually my attempt at keeping me distracted from something horrible that I just found out in real life. I'm trying to push it to the back of my mind, but it keeps creeping back.. I was hoping more blogging would stop me worrying so much, but it's not really. I will have to do something else after this post to try to take my mind off it. Anyways, this amazingly adorable outfit is from Turducken and can be found at this current round of La Boutique. I absolutely adore this look.. it's very boho, chic and extremely pretty. It fits both baby and kid ToddleeDoo's and even comes with the skirt and top separately too if you don't want to wear it as a dress, so there is potential for mixing it up! I was happy to see it came with shoes too, which I wasn't expecting. This dress is definitely one to grab.. and it comes in a lot of different colours so you'll be sure to find one to fit your taste. I'm wearing a headband from Buglets again, it seemed to work perfectly with this outfit, you can grab it at this round of Hello Beautiful. In other news I have this annoying earworm of a song stuck in my head by Carly Rae Jepsen.. so I'm going to link it so you too can have it go round and round in your head. You're welcome, no need to thank me. The video is totally bizarre too.. what on earth is Tom Hanks doing?! I hope it's a soundtrack for a new movie of his or something otherwise this just doesn't make a lick of sense. The cameo from Justin Bieber at the end too.. was that really necessary?! So.. this is a bit more rebellious and different from my usual posts. I felt like doing something completely different! I am loving this "There it goes... the last crap I gave" sign from Plethora. It's so funny. There's a more adult version of this too, which I really had to stop myself from using! I think I'm just teetering on the edge of offensive with this one.. so I don't want to push my boundaries too far. I might end up in a permanent time out if I did! This sign is perfect too because it's a nice reminder that I need to stop giving a crap about certain things.. I need to be less competitive. I have to try to keep myself grounded and stop getting irritated over little things.. and constantly try to compete with everyone. I'm doing my best and that is all I can do.. there goes the last crap I gave! This shirt from Heffalumps rocks.. and it's totally free! I'm not feeling particularly the best today and I know people say you shouldn't blog when you feel bad; but I had to because of the awesomeness I'm going to be showing off below. If you don't care about real life stuff skip the first four paragraphs to get the low down on the outfit info.
Why am I feeling poopy today? Well.. a few reasons. Firstly, my fiancee is working away.. so I'm moping around all sad, missing him. My cat is too. He's worse than me actually, he goes from room to room crying looking for his daddy.. which in turn makes me even sadder. His sad little meows tug at my heart strings.
Secondly, I have a really disgusting infected finger.. I know, you all wanted to know that and you'll sleep better tonight now you know. Anyways, it was the result of two issues.. one, I ripped off a hangnail (I know, I know.. should never have done that) and then my nail snagged on something and ripped off at a painful place.. the nail bed. So, I guess something managed to get in via either of those places and now my finger is red, swollen, pus ridden, throbbing and just generally nasty. I showed my SL mummy and sis a picture of it (as you do.. I think I overshare sometimes..) they were disgusted. It really does look gross. The pain is the worst.. but I'm too stubborn to get it seen to. I'll keep treating it at home with soaks in salt water and then putting antiseptic cream on. See how it goes. Thirdly, I watched a film last night that triggered me. I have mental health issues that can be triggered by certain things and this film definitely triggered me. It was an epic film though.. but I feel all vulnerable today because of it and letting bad thoughts plague my mind. I had a load of paperwork to read earlier too which I didn't understand at all.. it was to do with mortgage stuff and it was apparently important that I read it all. I would have probably took it in if it was written in a way that wasn't littered with jargon. I was supposed to read it and give my fiancee the gist of it.. because he's working away it's difficult for him to keep up with all the paperwork and therefore I should just fill him in.. but I've e-mailed him and told him I don't understand any of it. I feel so stupid for doing that.. but it's better than me saying it was fine and missing something crucial because I didn't understand something. Anyways, back to Second Life. My sister, Meggie, has returned to the family.. though in my eyes she never left. Even when she was with another family I still called her sis! Yay! Glad to have her back! She does have to put up with my constant teasing and getting on at her for not editing her avatar right. She loves me even when I'm getting on her case I think.. My little doggy in the bag is from Birdy, found at this round of Chapter Four. It's really cute. It needed sizing down a lot and repositioning slightly, but if you don't mind editing then it's a definite must have. I'm absolutely oving this new hair from *BABY* too. First of all, let me preface this post with the following.. those of you who read what I have to say (as well as look at my blog pictures) are awesome. It keeps me wanting to write and share more.. so thank you. Anyways.. The last few days have been a swirl of figures in my real life. My fiancee and I are currently trying to navigate the treacherous path of mortgages. If you've ever done it, I'm sure you'll agree it's a lot to swallow.. especially since it's the first time we've done it. Yep, we're first time buyers.. and as first time buyers it's not been an easy path to follow, there's been a lot of conflicting information thrown at us along the way too. I think we're finally starting to get a grasp on things now, which is good.. especially because we've seen a house we are extremely interested in and want to put an offer in on. I've rented for 11 years and my partner has rented even longer than that (since he's older) So a place that is finally ours is more than a little overdue. It's an exciting and scary thing to do though.. and because there's lots of money involved you really have to think about what you are doing. You are bombarded with information and it can all be a little overwhelming. Calculating fees for solicitors charges, insurance, moving cost, stamp duty etc etc.. is a long and arduous process. No wonder I prefer being a toddler in Second Life.. being a grownup is just so hard! I know that this will be incredibly rewarding should our offer be accepted - but I also know that it can take a while for things to go through so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much (even though in my head it's already ours!) They say good things come to those who wait.. so I'm going to sit here and wait patiently for our offer to be accepted............. Hmm....... -drums fingers on the arm of my chair- Okay.. I'm bored of waiting now.
So.. anyways, Second Life is good right now. Between Blogging and hanging out with my mummy I've done a little creating on the side. I hope to get back into creating a little more than I have been.. so Awwdorable will probably be seeking out events to participate in to get the name seen a little more. Watch this space! Not literally.. because this space is going to stay the same. Oh, you know what I mean!
As for my sophisticated look that I'm wearing today, it was all inspired around this cute pink coat dress from Little Closet that I got at La Boutique. This is an event that definitely has quality designers in and I pretty much snapped up nearly everything in this round.. so you'll be seeing more soon. Oh, before I close.. Happy St Patricks day! Tomorrow it's Mothers Day in the UK. It's a difficult day for me.. in real life my mother passed away when I was 17 years old.. after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. I watched her deteriorate in front of my eyes and towards the end she was bedridden, couldn't move anything but her head and she didn't even know who I was. I loved her dearly. She was my best friend. It's been a while since she died, seeing as I'm almost 29 now, but the pain doesn't disappear, it doesn't lessen. I didn't think I'd function after her death, we all knew it was coming and I was sure that I'd end up in a vegetative state not wanting to do anything. Life goes on though.. it's hard and painful, but it does go on. You have to. At the end of this post I'm linking to a song my sister and I picked that was played at her funeral. I can't listen to it without crying, so I probably won't be listening.. but I wanted to share. So this post is dedicated to my mother and anyone else who reads this who has lost their mother too.. and up is where we go from here. ♥ What better way than to go up than this awesome balloon ride (in picture #3) from Plethora. You can find this "Balloon Voyage" at The Liason Collaborative from the 15th March 2015 until 10th April 2015. You steer with your usual arrow controls and when you go up, the balloons on the side inflate.. and it even has sounds! I feel like I'm in the film "UP" when I sit in this.. so the title of the post only seemed right. It's 16 land impact.. you rez it out and sit on it (anyone can sit on it actually, not just the owner) so although it's fairly high on land impact, this is something you'd bring out once in a while for a fun little trip, not something you'd leave out.. unless you really have those prims to spare! Have you been to La Boutique yet? If not, you should definitely go. I picked up so much cute stuff there.. including this adorable jumper from new store BunBun. There's actually several styles to pick up. I grabbed a few of the pink ones I liked! Because.. pink! I will be blogging more from that event soon. I searched all over marketplace to find a pair of trousers that would go with my jumper.. and found these epic ones from Turducken. You get two pairs.. the colour you picked and a plain white pair - which worked out awesomely for this look. I love the 3D bubble bits on the bottom of the legs, so cute. My hair is a group gift from Love Soul. There was (annoyingly) a large fee to join the group.. and even more irritating you have to wait around for your letter to appear on the group lucky board to obtain this style. I spent a few days in Love Soul waiting for my letter.. my mummy kept me company most of the time while I stood around waiting.. when it finally came around I was so excited! Then I realised it wasn't even the colour I wanted this style in! I waited for my letter to appear again.. and then ended up with this colour pack. It's still not the shade I want, but it'll do until I can be bothered to wait around again for the blonder shade. It's a super cute style though and was definitely worth the wait.
