♥ Shopaholic? Me? ♥

I've been busy experimenting in Blender today, thought it would take my mind off my extremely painful tooth extraction site. I've been popping painkillers like there's no tomorrow.. even taking ibuprofen and paracetamol together, it's still agony! I've booked an appointment to see the dentist in a couple of days.. so hopefully it gets better before then so I don't have to go! Anyways, yeah, I've been dealing with the headache of making my own mesh in order to distract me from my pain.. I've given up for now though. I uploaded 6 or so different models to the beta test grid and each time found a new part that was clipping into my body on the clothing.. so I gave up for now and decided to blog instead. At least I understand how to do that!

So.. anyways.. I haven't blogged Heffalumps in a while, so today I decided I'd pull out an adorable outfit from Heffalumps called "Tribal Lion" there's a lion on the shirt (which is hidden by my awesome sign from Intrigue Co. which is available at The Arcade right now) I love the texture work on the pants in particular!

As usual it comes with a HUD that you can change your facial expressions with.. change your mouth and your eyes for all sorts of fun face combinations and these heads make for some amusing snaps. ♥ I'm back! ♥

Hey everyone!

It's been a little while since my last post but that's because lots was going on in real life.. mostly being the fact that I moved house. While it's still a sea of boxes everywhere.. at least I have an Internet connection and can get online when I'm not busy with house stuff. 

I decided to do a picture for The Arcade, which ended up being this blog post.. figured why not combine the two?! I was supposed to not be blogging this round of Hello Beautiful.. but a couple of days ago I had a tooth extracted in real life and I'm feeling pretty miserable so I figured that I'd pull out some of the goodies from Hello Beautiful and put them in this post in an attempt to cheer me up. Plus.. who can resist when lovely creators still drop their items on me despite the fact that I was supposed to be out of this round!

First up I have the ABRONZATISSIMA SunBurn - Tattoo from Cute Bytes (available at this round of Hello Beautiful) to talk about. I'm wearing it in the pics below.. it comes with a HUD and several face options so you can choose a setting which fits you best. I'm wearing the red one, because when I get burnt I go red and it's usually really painful and peels.. and then I don't tan. Other choices included are carrot, hot and tan. Perfect for the upcoming hot weather.

These awesome Glam Summer GLASSES from *BABY* are HUD activated and have 8 different lens tints to choose from (clear through to black) and you can pick from a choice of 10 frame colours! What a bargain! They have pretty little flowers on the frames too. Very stylish! You can grab your pair at this round of Hello Beautiful right now. 

I'm sitting here blowing bubbles in my awesome Bubble Pipe from Tikkels. There are 3 different kinds available at Hello Beautiful: pink, dot or blue (which I have on) They're a funky little accessory.. lay back and enjoy the sun and blow some bubbles while looking cool.

My nails are painted with Summer Ombre Nails from Buglets, which have a HUD with 6 different colours to pick from. I've got on the lightest blue ones, but there's a few different summery colours and one is bound to suit you. These are available at Hello Beautiful now too.

Lastly from Hello Beautiful (for this post anyway) are these epic wearable pools from Tic Tot Toe. Lots of different colours to choose from and because they're wearable you don't need to have rez rights anywhere.. just wear and lounge around in the pool anywhere you like! I love that it has a silly little walk in it too if you try to walk with it attached. So cute. There's a video at the end showing it off, courtesy of Tic Tot Toe. I'm loving chilling out in my pool.. now.. where's the waiter? I need another refill!

♥ Fun and Mirrors ♥

Hi everyone!

Hope all is well in your worlds. I'm currently in a blind panic in real life; trying to get everything ship shape for when my fiancee returns tomorrow (or rather today, since it's gone midnight here now) He wasn't supposed to be back for a couple more days, so I'm running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything just so. I'm currently on a break from cleaning and tidying, so I figured now would be the perfect time to do a post. 

First up there's these two adorable new items from Aphrodite. A play gym, called "The tree of life" it's much like the one I blogged previously - it's just a different style.. see the other post here: What a Hoot. 
The other item from Aphrodite is an adorable rocking owl. It has a few different animations built into it and it actually rocks! Very cute! I'm hoping Aphrodite release some kitty stuff soon, because owls are cute and everything.. but I'm much more into kitties! Or pandas.. or unicorns.. or mermaids.. or you know.. all of those would be good! I am loving the quality of their furniture though.

I'm wearing the mesh head from Cute Bytes, "BELLINA", that's available at this round of Hello Beautiful for a promo price of 250L$. I've teamed it with an applier from Bad Seed Boutique, "Berty" in the peach tone, which is also at Hello Beautiful right now. I think this head and skin combination looks pretty cute!

I have on adorable ears again from Tikkels, these too are at Hello Beautiful right now. These ones are chocolate dipped! Yum! They are HUD operated so you can match up your skin without much hassle and you can even change the colour of your earrings. Bonus! If the chocolate dipped ones aren't your thing, in my last post I showed off the sprinkle ones.. which are adorable too. I'm also wearing a face tattoo for mesh heads from Tikkels. It's really pretty and sparkly, grab yours at this round of Hello Beautiful.

I have on a very pretty headband from Buglets, "Janie Headband", which comes in lots of different colours. I'm wearing the blue (sky) coloured one to match my awesome outfit from Bad Seed Boutique.

The eyes I have on are called "Lovable Eyes" and I have on style C. They are from *BABY* and are available in lots of other colours at Hello Beautiful right now. I just happened to like this particular colour.. I gravitate towards lighter ones and blue tones. 
 
My nails are from Enchanted Bowtique are also at Hello Beautiful (you noticing a theme here yet?) and are called "Sakura nails" - they come in many different colours. Aren't they pretty?

Finally this mirror.. from snaphappy poses, available at.. you guessed it, Hello Beautiful. I blogged it before.. but today I'm showing off one of the commons which is the sky tone. It's perfect for making faces with your new mesh heads in. I had a little too much fun pulling faces in it.

Quick post before I go to bed.. cos I'll sleep better knowing it's out there. Yep, I'm a strange one.

This new mesh head from Cute Bytes is available at this round of Hello Beautiful, which opened earlier today. It's called "Bellina" and you can buy the "Bella Skin" I'm wearing with it too. It's the same as the recent mesh heads we've seen from Cute Bytes, in the respect that it's animated. It also comes with teeth options (which is a relatively new feature) You can control your eyes, mouth and toggle which cute teeth you want to make up lots of different cute expressions. You can alpha the head, eyes and ears too.

I'm wearing adorable "Elf Ears Sprinkle tip" from Tikkels. They are HUD controlled, so you can match up your skin tone with a little bit of tweaking. You can also change the earring colour with the HUD. They're available at this round of Hello Beautiful too.

Also.. found at this round of Hello Beautiful.. these pretty "Sakura" nails from Enchanted Bowtique. They come in lots of different colours.. and who doesn't love pretty flowery nails?

Calling all event enthusiasts.. Sweet Tooth Fair is now open.

FLRN are taking part in Sweet Tooth Fair and this dress and shorts set called "Amy Dress - V1" is just one of their offerings. I've personally not heard of this store before, but I hope to see more of it in the future! A quick scan of their marketplace tells me that they're already a strong creator for adult clothing, so I'm hoping that FLRN will release a lot more for us kids very soon. 
I love that the fatpack is HUD operated too, which completely de-clutters your inventory, see the last picture for a look at it. It's a lovely floral texture. I'm wearing the pink colour, because, well.. because I adore pink! This outfit fits both ToddleeDoo babies and kids too! Bonus!

I'm putting my personal feelings about this event aside for this post. I had typed out a whole thing stating my feelings on things - but I've decided that it's probably best to just not focus on negative things and not take away from showcasing the creators I signed up to support instead.

Ooh, random.. but if you've not been on the Wayward hunt yet - it's something you definitely need to do. It ends May 1st, so you need to hurry if you want to do it. Some of my accessories etc are from the hunt and who doesn't love a good freebie?! While everything is not ToddleeDoo friendly - there are a few bits that can be sized down okay. Or if you have an adult avi, it's worth doing the whole hunt - as the freebies are pretty awesome (not the kind of freebies that end up in my trash, promise!) There are some really talented creators part of this, which is very exciting to see.

♥ There it goes.. the last crap I gave ♥

So.. this is a bit more rebellious and different from my usual posts. I felt like doing something completely different! 

I am loving this "There it goes... the last crap I gave" sign from Plethora. It's so funny. There's a more adult version of this too, which I really had to stop myself from using! I think I'm just teetering on the edge of offensive with this one.. so I don't want to push my boundaries too far. I might end up in a permanent time out if I did! This sign is perfect too because it's a nice reminder that I need to stop giving a crap about certain things.. I need to be less competitive. I have to try to keep myself grounded and stop getting irritated over little things.. and constantly try to compete with everyone. I'm doing my best and that is all I can do.. there goes the last crap I gave!

I'm not feeling particularly the best today and I know people say you shouldn't blog when you feel bad; but I had to because of the awesomeness I'm going to be showing off below. If you don't care about real life stuff skip the first four paragraphs to get the low down on the outfit info.

Why am I feeling poopy today? Well.. a few reasons. Firstly, my fiancee is working away.. so I'm moping around all sad, missing him. My cat is too. He's worse than me actually, he goes from room to room crying looking for his daddy.. which in turn makes me even sadder. His sad little meows tug at my heart strings.

Secondly, I have a really disgusting infected finger.. I know, you all wanted to know that and you'll sleep better tonight now you know. Anyways, it was the result of two issues.. one, I ripped off a hangnail (I know, I know.. should never have done that) and then my nail snagged on something and ripped off at a painful place.. the nail bed. So, I guess something managed to get in via either of those places and now my finger is red, swollen, pus ridden, throbbing and just generally nasty. I showed my SL mummy and sis a picture of it (as you do.. I think I overshare sometimes..) they were disgusted. It really does look gross. The pain is the worst.. but I'm too stubborn to get it seen to. I'll keep treating it at home with soaks in salt water and then putting antiseptic cream on. See how it goes.

Thirdly, I watched a film last night that triggered me. I have mental health issues that can be triggered by certain things and this film definitely triggered me. It was an epic film though.. but I feel all vulnerable today because of it and letting bad thoughts plague my mind.

I had a load of paperwork to read earlier too which I didn't understand at all.. it was to do with mortgage stuff and it was apparently important that I read it all. I would have probably took it in if it was written in a way that wasn't littered with jargon. I was supposed to read it and give my fiancee the gist of it.. because he's working away it's difficult for him to keep up with all the paperwork and therefore I should just fill him in.. but I've e-mailed him and told him I don't understand any of it. I feel so stupid for doing that.. but it's better than me saying it was fine and missing something crucial because I didn't understand something.

Anyways, back to Second Life. My sister, Meggie, has returned to the family.. though in my eyes she never left. Even when she was with another family I still called her sis! Yay! Glad to have her back! She does have to put up with my constant teasing and getting on at her for not editing her avatar right. She loves me even when I'm getting on her case I think..

Look how adorable this original mesh outfit from Bad Seed Boutique is? It's called "MoMo" and there's two different colours of this epic outfit. You can choose from pink or teal. Pink was my fave, so that's what I'm showing off today. This outfit is available at this round of La Boutique. It comes with the boots and tights too. I decided to pose in my shared messy bedroom today.. well.. the grownups say mess, I say I know exactly where everything is.. so no tidying it!

My little doggy in the bag is from Birdy, found at this round of Chapter Four. It's really cute. It needed sizing down a lot and repositioning slightly, but if you don't mind editing then it's a definite must have.

I'm absolutely oving this new hair from *BABY* too. It's rigged especially for ToddleeDoo's! There's a couple of styles in store now.. and they are all fantastic. I can't wait to see more! Thanks to my friend, ZoZo, for the heads up on these.

Got an adorable bath time set from Bad Seed Boutique to show you today, it's available at Hello Beautiful.. so be sure to snatch it up! It comes with the bath, complete with pose.. head bubbles and body bubbles. It also comes with hair bases for both mesh head and regular heads. A really fun piece for those silly moments.. I had fun with it.

I'm wearing the newest mesh head from Cute Bytes (found at Hello Beautiful) again. Also showing off one of the features I forgot to talk about last time.. the tongue! Yes, this head comes complete with a tongue. You can do a few different things.. from blowing raspberries to sticking your tongue out to the side in concentration. This time I'm wearing it with my fave mesh head applier from Bad Seed Boutique, called, "Freckle Face"

Itsy Bitsy have some fantastic eye appliers for mesh heads out at Hello Beautiful right now. I'm wearing the blue one (as blue eyes always appeal to me.. perhaps because it's my real life eye colour too, I dunno!) There's lots of colours to choose from and with a simple click you can now change your eyes on your mesh head! Love them! I will definitely be using these with my mesh heads from now on.

These raindrop lights above me are from Plethora, they're called "Counting Raindrops". They seemed to fit so nicely in the scene. Although they're not new.. I've not blogged them before. I liked that I was able to incorporate them today.

So.. as you can see from these three pictures.. I didn't take myself very seriously at all. I went for funny over pretty! I hope you at least get a smile from my crazy baby faces.

Random news.. I've started a course in real life, so I'll be juggling my time a little - between that and moving house (which is still in the process of going through) 

Also.. just to let everyone know.. Facebook disabled my account. I'm not real, therefore I don't deserve a Facebook. I was truly upset when it first happened yesterday.. and I'm not entirely sure if I want to remake right now.. so.. at the moment the whole thought of it is too daunting.. so I'm not going to bother. If anyone wants to share my blog posts on their Facebook though, you rock for doing that. I'm sure that this whole no Facebook thing will mean that I'm out of the loop a lot.. and my blog and store might suffer from the lack of promotion. I did Second Life once without Facebook, I guess I can do it again. -Shrugs- The worst part was there was no warning.. not even an e-mail to say they'd done it and why. If I want it back I need to provide ID that matches up to my name.. which, we all know it won't. As much as I love my Second Life friends and having a Facebook account I am not ready to let everyone know my real identity. That's just weird. Respect to those who can.. but I'm not very trusting and have learnt a lot of lessons from the Internet that have made me wary of Internet strangers.

Final thoughts.. every time I am in the bath lately in real life.. this song (I'm linking to at the end of this post) comes on the radio. Doesn't matter what time of day it is either.. there's no pattern. I have a bath randomly when I feel like it. So.. the fact that this song keeps playing (has happened 5 times now) I'm taking it as a sign. The lyrics are actually very appropriate to my situation and it's begun to creep me out. It's gotta mean something, right?

Despite feeling pretty poorly the last few days I've got 3 adorable pictures to show you! This is my second post for this round of Woodlands. See last post for the first one. I'm still pinching myself that I got accepted to be an official Woodlands blogger.. really loving blogging events though.

These adorable "Rosey Posey" outfits are from BunBun, which you can find at this round of Woodlands. The first one I'm wearing is RARE.. there are two variations on the RARE, this is version one. There's a few other colours too, not pictured, but these three were my favourite ones to show you all. The other colours are blue, purple, white, yellow and version two of the rare. I'm including the gatcha key at the end of the post for you to see the other colours that are available. I hope to see a lot more from this creator as I'm loving the pieces I've been seeing. As BunBun is a very new store there is currently no in world location.. but hopefully we'll see one very soon.

Also from Woodlands, I'm wearing a hair accessory from Purretes gatcha. I blogged all the other colours last post.. so I had to incorporate the pink one into a post somewhere and I think it looks super cute with this outfit.

As most of you are aware I blog for Hello Beautiful event too.. so instead of doing my usual separate Hello Beautiful posts, I figured I'd mix up the events and see what went nicely together! 

I'm wearing a brand new mesh head and skin from Cute Bytes, which you can find at this round of Hello Beautiful. It has an amazing new addition to it.. teeth! You get to pick from a few sets of adorable little teethies on the HUD. It's animated too.. so you can change your mouth and eyes to get some expression into your Second Life. You are able to alpha out your ears and eyes too so you can use your own if you wish. Also can alpha out the back of the head, which is useful for getting hair to fit!

I'm wearing cute ice cream nails from Enchanted Bowtique, which are also available at this round of Hello Beautiful.

Check out my cute toe ring from ToddleTeeZ. It's the perfect little accessory for when your toes are on show! If you're not into toe rings, you can also attach it your hand and tada.. instant ring! These are available at The Sidewalk Gatcha.

♥ Superheroes ♥

Things happened over this weekend, in real life, that tested me greatly.. I had to deal with someone who was extremely rude and nasty to me.. and it was totally not warranted. Especially since this individual didn't know me, my circumstances or anything. He had no right to say them without knowing all the facts. I keep going over the events that played out in my head and wish that I had stood up for myself now.. imagining myself saying things I wish I had said but didn't. How I wish I told him exactly what I thought of what he was saying and how totally wrong he was.. and how upset he had made me because of what he had said. In reality though I just sat there and took the abuse.. trying my hardest not to cry. I even started to block out what they were saying just so I didn't absorb any more of it. I hate when you're upset and all you can think of is trying not to let them see you're upset.. so I kept repeating in my head, "Don't cry.. don't cry.. don't cry" even though I could feel my eyes welling up. I kind of wish I had cried now though.. maybe this "so called professional" would have realised his error and that he can't get away with saying that to someone who is as emotionally fragile as I am.

Anyway, to combat this awful weekend I've had.. I'm going to attempt to shake it off and get some strength from deep within myself.. and be a Superhero. I can do this thanks to this fun outfit from ToddleTeeZ, which is available at Woodlands this month. It comes with a belt buckle option too for the guys, so they can be shirtless.. but for us girlies.. we need to cover up a bit more. I'm particularly loving the fact that there are two super hero poses to get too (as shown below) The shield and headband are particularly nice additions to this outfit. A great outfit!

♥ Hello Beautiful - Round 5 - Part 1 ♥

Hey everyone! Exciting events opened today.. including the much anticipated "The Arcade" - along with "Woodlands" and what I'm going to be showing you today "Hello Beautiful"

Over the next couple of days I plan to show off some of the awesome goodies for grabs at "Hello Beautiful" 

I'm going to start with this adorable mesh head and skin from Cute Bytes, which you can grab at this round of "Hello Beautiful". It's called "Elvy" and it's animated. Not only is it animated but it includes teeth options too.. and a tattoo layer. I love the fact that you can change the teeth and then there's all the facial expressions that you can play with. Tons of fun! It has the adorable elf like ears too and pink eyes. A must have mesh head to add to your collection.

I'm also wearing a necklace from ToddleTeeZ. This one is a RARE one called "Pixie Dust". This one and many more are available in a gatcha at this round of "Hello Beautiful" - they are pretty cute! Not only are they different colours, they are sparkly too and they have a little name on each of them depending on what they are.

Check out these fantastic wings from *BABY* who has joined this round of "Hello Beautiful" These wings are changeable with a HUD.. you can resize them (though who would..? They are epic this big!) And you can change the colour of the wire in them on the outside and the inside to different colours. Lovely!

I'm wearing a gorgeous dress from Turducken. I must confess I've become a bit of a fan of Turducken lately. I used to turn my nose up because they were pricey.. but their quality has definitely come a long way and I'm more than happy to shell out a little extra for the quality of texture work that goes into her items.

How awesome are these shoes from Bad Seed Boutique? They are just darling! They come with a HUD too so you can change the entire colour of the shoe.. it also comes with another HUD so you can change the ribbon colour separately! 

I'll be blogging more tomorrow of what's available at "Hello Beautiful" and other events.. sorry I'm so behind. I usually have a full post of everything available out on the 1st. The end of February tripped me up though. Silly short month only having 28 days. How dare it?! I totally forgot it had 28 days and thought I had a few days yet to get my posts together.. but no, not so. Apologies while I try to get it together.. hopefully get more out tomorrow!
